Advanced Dashboard

Advanced Dashboard

PMSuite has two dashboard modes. Private Dashboard (/account/dashboard) shows only the data that belongs to the currently signed-in user — their own tasks, leaves, and hours. Advanced Dashboard (/account/dashboard-advanced) is the full org-wide view: it aggregates data across every employee, project, client, and module, and is permission-gated so only users with the appropriate role can access it.

Who Can Use It

Users whose role grants access to the Advanced Dashboard — typically Company Admin. Access is controlled via Settings → Roles & Permissions.

Prerequisites

  • A role that grants view access to the Advanced Dashboard.
  • Relevant module records must exist for metric cards to populate. For example, revenue cards require at least one invoice or payment; attendance charts require attendance records for the current period.

How to Access

Direct URL: /account/dashboard-advanced

Or via the sidebar: Dashboard → Advanced Dashboard

The five module sub-dashboards have their own sidebar entries and direct paths:

Projects/account/project-dashboard
HR/account/hr-dashboard
Finance/account/finance-dashboard
Workspace/account/workspace-dashboard

What the Advanced Dashboard Shows

Top-Level Metric Cards

The top of the Advanced Dashboard shows these org-wide summary cards:

CardWhat it measures
Total RevenueAggregate revenue across the organization
Active EmployeesCurrent active headcount
Team HealthOrg-wide team health indicator
Net ProfitRevenue minus expenses
Pipeline ValueTotal value of active deals in the sales pipeline
Tasks DoneTasks marked complete
Open TicketsSupport tickets not yet resolved
Overdue InvoicesInvoices past their due date with outstanding balances
Pending LeavesLeave requests awaiting admin approval

Charts

Three charts are included on the Advanced Dashboard:

  • Revenue trends — time-series view of revenue over a selectable period.
  • HR attendance breakdown — present, absent, and late counts across the team.
  • Finance revenue vs. expenses — side-by-side comparison of income and spending.

Per-Module Summary Widgets

Below the metric cards, a condensed summary widget for each module links directly into the full module view:

  • Sales — pipeline and revenue summary → /account/sales-dashboard
  • Projects — project and task overview → /account/project-dashboard
  • HR — headcount and attendance summary → /account/hr-dashboard
  • Finance — invoice and expense overview → /account/finance-dashboard
  • Workspace — ticket and event summary → /account/workspace-dashboard

Clicking any widget navigates to that module's dashboard for deeper detail or to take action.

Effect on Other Features

  • All metric cards and charts draw from the same records in their respective modules — no separate data entry is needed for the dashboard to reflect current state.
  • The Pending Leaves card reflects unapproved leave requests from the HR module. Approving a leave updates the count on the next page load.
  • The Clock In/Out button is persistent at the bottom-left of the sidebar on every screen, including the Advanced Dashboard. Once clocked in, it shows the elapsed duration of the current session.
  • The Advanced Dashboard is a view-only surface. To approve a leave, pay an invoice, or close a ticket, navigate to the relevant module via the widget links or the sidebar.

Limitations

LimitationWorkaround
Metric cards show zero if no records exist in the related modulePopulate the relevant module first; the dashboard reflects the current state on load
Access is permission-gated — users without the right role see only the Private DashboardA Company Admin can grant access via Settings → Roles & Permissions

Troubleshooting

A metric card shows zero even though data exists. Confirm the relevant module has records and that your role has view access set to "All" for that module in Settings → Roles & Permissions. Permission changes don't always apply to an already-active session — log out and log back in after any change.

The Advanced Dashboard option is not visible in my sidebar. Your role does not include access. Ask a Company Admin to update your role in Settings → Roles & Permissions.

A chart shows no data. Charts populate from module records. Revenue trends require at least one payment record; attendance breakdown requires attendance records for the current period; revenue vs. expenses requires both invoice payments and expense entries.
