Workspace Subdomain Setup
Each PMSuite workspace is accessed through its own subdomain on pmsuite.co — for example, yourcompany.pmsuite.co. This gives your team, clients, and contractors a branded URL that keeps your workspace separate from every other company on the platform.
Who Can Use It
- Super Admin — manages subdomain and custom domain configuration.
Prerequisites
- An active PMSuite account. The workspace subdomain is chosen during the signup process.
How to Access
Your workspace subdomain is the URL you and your team use to log in and access all PMSuite features. All authenticated paths sit under this subdomain:
- Workspace URL format:
yourcompany.pmsuite.co - Dashboard:
/account/dashboard - Settings:
/account/settings/profile-settings
Every user in your company — admins, employees, and clients — uses the same subdomain to access their respective panels.
How Subdomains Work
When you register for PMSuite, you choose a subdomain during signup. This becomes your permanent workspace identifier:
- Format:
{workspace-name}.pmsuite.co - Each subdomain is fully isolated — your data, settings, users, and configuration are separate from every other workspace.
- Employees and clients bookmark your subdomain as their daily access point.
Subdomain and Sign-In Behavior
- Sign-in forms and redirects on your subdomain use your configured main domain, so users always land on the correct workspace.
- If you have white-label branding configured, your subdomain login page displays your company's theme and branding rather than the default PMSuite appearance.
Custom Domain Alternative
If you want users to access your workspace through your own domain (for example, hr.yourcompany.com instead of yourcompany.pmsuite.co), PMSuite supports fully custom domains with automatic SSL provisioning.
Custom domain setup is managed at White-Label > Custom Domain (/account/custom-domain). See Custom Domain Setup for the full walkthrough, including DNS configuration, SSL certificates, and domain verification.
Effect on Other Features
- Email notification links: When a custom domain is configured, all email notification links (task assignments, invoice reminders, ticket updates) point to your custom domain rather than the default
pmsuite.cosubdomain. - White-label branding: Your subdomain login page reflects the theme and colors set in White-Label Settings, including logos and color schemes configured per panel (Admin, Employee, Client).
- reCAPTCHA: reCAPTCHA validation is skipped on white-label custom domains. If you use a custom domain, you do not need to whitelist it in the Google reCAPTCHA admin console for workspace login.
- Client portal: Clients who access your workspace via the subdomain (or custom domain) see your branding throughout their session.
Limitations
| Limitation | Workaround |
|---|---|
| The subdomain is chosen at signup and cannot be changed through the standard UI. | Contact PMSuite support at info@pmsuite.co to request a subdomain change. |
| Custom domains require a separate add-on purchase. | Use the default pmsuite.co subdomain, which is included with every plan. |
Troubleshooting
- Cannot access your subdomain: Verify you are using the correct workspace name in the URL. If you have forgotten your subdomain, check the original signup confirmation email or contact support.
- Login page shows default PMSuite branding instead of your company's: Confirm that white-label branding is configured in White-Label Settings. Changes to login branding (Theme and Colors, Content and Text, Logos and Images) apply to the subdomain login page.
- Subdomain already taken: Each subdomain must be unique across PMSuite. Choose an alternative or contact support at info@pmsuite.co if you believe the name was registered in error.
