Event Calendar
The Event Calendar gives every member of your organization a visual timeline of all scheduled events. Switch between four time views — Month, Week, Day, or List — and use filters to narrow down events by employee, client, or status so you see exactly what you need.
Who Can Use It
All logged-in users (Admin, HR Manager, Employee, Client) can view events in the calendar according to the permissions granted to their role. Creating and editing events requires the appropriate event permissions set under Settings → Roles & Permissions.
Prerequisites
- You must be logged in to your PMSuite account.
- At least one event must exist before the calendar displays any entries. If the calendar appears empty, no events have been created yet, or all visible events are being hidden by an active filter.
How to Access
Sidebar → Workspace → Events (/account/events)
The calendar view loads by default. At the top of the page you will find:
- View toggle buttons (Month, Week, Day, List) to switch calendar layouts.
- Filter controls (Employee, Client, Status) to narrow what is displayed.
- Add Event and Add Recurring Event buttons to create new entries.

Calendar Views
Four views are available. Switch between them using the view toggle buttons in the top area of the calendar.
Month View
Shows the entire current month as a date grid. Each day is a cell; events appear as compact labels inside their respective date cells. Use this view for a high-level picture of the month's activity and to identify busy periods at a glance.
When a date cell contains more events than it can display, an overflow indicator appears. Click it to see the remaining events for that date.
Week View
Shows seven days with more vertical space per day, making individual event times easier to read. Use this view when planning the week ahead and needing to understand how events are distributed across each day.
Day View
Focuses on a single day in a detailed timeline layout. Use this view on days with many events where you need to read each entry without the compressed layout of the month grid.
List View
Displays upcoming events as a scrollable list ordered by date rather than a grid. Use this view when you prefer reading event details in text form or need to scan a sequence of upcoming events quickly.
Filtering Events
Use the three filters above the calendar to limit which events are shown. Filters can be combined.
Filter by Employee
Select one or more employees to display only the events associated with them. This is useful for reviewing a specific team member's event schedule.
Filter by Client
Select a client to display only events linked to that client. Use this when you need to review what is scheduled around a particular account.
Filter by Status
Select one or more event status values to display only events in those states. This helps you distinguish active events from cancelled or completed ones.
To reset the calendar to show all events, clear your selections in each active filter.
Navigating the Calendar
- Arrow buttons at the top of the calendar move forward or backward through months, weeks, or days depending on your active view.
- Today button returns the calendar immediately to the current date.
Viewing Event Details
Click any event entry on the calendar to open its detail view. From the detail view, users with the appropriate permissions can edit or delete the event. Attendees can view the event information and access any attached files.
Effect on Other Features
My Calendar — Events created in PMSuite also appear on your personal calendar at /account/my-calendar, which combines events with tasks, leaves, and holidays in one unified schedule view.
Google Calendar — If Google Calendar integration is enabled and configured for your account (Settings → Google Calendar Settings), events created in PMSuite are pushed outward to your connected Google Calendar. This sync is one-way: PMSuite sends events to Google Calendar. Items created directly in Google Calendar do not appear in PMSuite's event calendar.
Limitations
| Limitation | Workaround |
|---|---|
| Events created in Google Calendar do not appear in PMSuite. | Create events directly in PMSuite. For events that must originate in Google Calendar, maintain a manual record in PMSuite as well. |
| The Event Calendar does not display tasks, leaves, or holidays in the same view. | Use My Calendar (/account/my-calendar) for a unified view that combines all of these object types. |
Troubleshooting
Calendar appears empty after navigating to Events. First clear all active filters — an active filter may be hiding all results. If the calendar remains empty after clearing filters, no events have been created yet. See Creating Events to add your first event.
An event I know exists is not showing on the calendar. Check the Employee, Client, and Status filters. An active filter that does not match the event's properties will hide it. Clear all filters and look again.
Cannot create or edit events. Event creation and editing require the appropriate permissions. Ask your company admin to review your role under Settings → Roles & Permissions. After any permission change, log out and log back in — permission changes do not always apply to an already-active session.
