Dashboard Overview

The Private Dashboard is your personal landing page in PMSuite. It displays a single-screen summary of the numbers that matter most — revenue, headcount, pipeline, tasks, tickets, invoices and leaves — together with condensed widgets for each major module and charts that show how those numbers are trending.

PMSuite has two dashboard modes. The Private Dashboard (this article) is the personal view scoped to the logged-in user's own data and permissions. The Advanced Dashboard is the wider, permission-gated organisation view — see Advanced Dashboard.

Who Can Use It

Any signed-in user has a Private Dashboard. What each person actually sees is filtered by their role and permission levels, so two users in the same workspace can open the same page and see different figures. PMSuite permission levels are None, Added (only records that user personally created), Owns (only records assigned to them), and All. Changing someone's permissions requires them to log out and back in before their dashboard reflects the change — see Understanding Roles.

Prerequisites

  • An active PMSuite account and a completed login — see Logging In.
  • Data in the modules you want to see summarised. The dashboard reports only on records that already exist, so a brand-new workspace shows mostly zeros until employees, projects, invoices and deals have been created. Completing the Setup Wizard first gives the dashboard something to display.

How to Access

Advanced Dashboard/account/dashboard-advanced

In the sidebar, open Dashboard and choose Private Dashboard. PMSuite lands you on the Private Dashboard automatically after signing in.

Top Metrics

A row of headline metrics runs across the top of the dashboard:

MetricWhat it measures
Total RevenuePayments received, converted to your workspace's default currency
Active EmployeesEmployees whose records are currently active
Team HealthAggregate health indicator across your people
Net ProfitRevenue minus expenses, in your default currency
Pipeline ValueTotal value of open deals across all sales pipelines
Tasks DoneCompleted tasks visible to this user
Open TicketsSupport tickets that have not been closed
Overdue InvoicesInvoices past their due date that remain unpaid
Pending LeavesLeave applications awaiting approval

Money figures — including revenue, expenses and profit — are converted to your workspace's default currency. A workspace that invoices in multiple currencies still produces a single comparable total rather than a mix of raw amounts. If totals look off, verify your default currency and exchange rates in Currency Settings.

Module Summary Widgets

Below the headline row, the dashboard shows a condensed widget for each major area: Sales, Projects, HR, Finance and Workspace. Each widget summarises the module and links through to it so you can act on what you see.

Each area also has its own dedicated dashboard for more depth:

Projects/account/project-dashboard
HR/account/hr-dashboard
Finance/account/finance-dashboard
Workspace/account/workspace-dashboard

Charts

Three chart areas appear alongside the widgets:

  • Revenue trends — revenue plotted as a time series, so you can see whether income is growing, flat or declining.
  • HR attendance breakdown — present, absent and late split for your team members for the current period.
  • Revenue vs. expenses — a finance comparison of money in against money out, using your default currency.

Clock In / Clock Out

A Clock In / Clock Out button is pinned to the bottom-left corner of the interface and remains visible on every screen, not just the dashboard. Once you are clocked in, the button shows how long you have been clocked in for.

The button is shift-aware: whether you can clock in outside your assigned shift depends on your company's Attendance Settings. Full behaviour — including multiple check-ins on the same day, QR code clock-in and location-based restrictions — is covered in Clock In / Clock Out.

Effect on Other Features

  • The dashboard is read-only reporting. No figure shown here changes a record; records are changed inside the module you click through to.
  • Clocking in via the persistent button writes a real attendance record, which feeds the HR attendance chart on this page and the broader attendance reports.
  • Because every figure is permission-filtered, granting or removing a permission changes what the affected user's dashboard totals show from their next login onward. Permission changes do not take effect on an already-active session.

Limitations

LimitationWorkaround
The Private Dashboard shows only the logged-in user's data, scoped by their permissions — it is not an org-wide view.Use the Advanced Dashboard (/account/dashboard-advanced) for the full organisation picture, or open a per-module dashboard from the table above.
Converted currency totals depend on correct exchange-rate configuration. A missing or incorrect rate distorts revenue and expense figures.Confirm your default currency and exchange rates in Currency Settings, then reload the dashboard.
Module summary widgets are condensed and cannot be expanded in place.Click through to the module or its dedicated dashboard, where full lists, filters and exports are available.
A brand-new workspace displays empty or zero metrics.Add employees, projects, deals and invoices — or complete the Setup Wizard — and the widgets populate as records are created.

Troubleshooting

A metric shows zero even though data exists. The most common cause is permission scope. At the Added or Owns level you see only records you created or that are assigned to you. Ask an administrator to review your permission level, then log out and back in — permission changes do not apply to an existing session.

Revenue or expense totals look wrong. Confirm that your workspace's default currency and the exchange rates for all currencies you invoice in are configured correctly. Dashboard money totals are converted to the default currency, so a missing or incorrect rate distorts the total.

The Clock In button is missing or will not clock me in. The button is shift-aware and depends on your Attendance Settings, including whether clocking in outside your assigned shift is permitted. Confirm you have a shift assigned for the day and review the configuration in Clock In / Clock Out.

I expected organisation-wide figures but the numbers are low. You are most likely on the Private Dashboard. Switch to Dashboard → Advanced Dashboard (/account/dashboard-advanced). Access is permission-gated; if you cannot see it, ask your administrator.
