Google Calendar Sync

The Google Calendar integration pushes items from PMSuite into your Google Calendar, so your team can see their PMSuite deadlines and dates alongside their other calendar entries without switching tabs.

Important — sync is one-way only: PMSuite → Google Calendar. Items you create or edit in Google Calendar are not pulled into PMSuite. The sync flows in a single direction: from PMSuite into your Google Calendar. If you need a Google Calendar-originated item in PMSuite, add it there manually.

Google Calendar Settings

Who Can Use It

  • Company Admin — enables and configures the sync in Settings. Visibility of the Google Calendar setting can also be granted to other roles via Roles & Permissions.
  • All users — each user can connect their own Google account from their Profile Settings, which include a Google Calendar connection option.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account to connect via the Verify (OAuth) flow.
  • Access to Settings → Google Calendar Settings (Company Admin, or a role granted the Google Calendar setting permission).

How to Access

Navigation: Sidebar → Settings → Google Calendar Settings.

Setting Up the Sync

  1. Go to Settings → Google Calendar Settings.
  2. Enable the sync using the enable/disable control.
  3. Use the Verify flow to connect a Google account. This takes you through Google's OAuth consent process to authorize the connection.
  4. Once connected, the page shows Google Calendar Connected along with "Connected as" and your Google account ID.
  5. Review the synced object types and set the per-type Notification Settings checkboxes to your preference (see below), then click Save.

Individual users can also connect their own Google account from Profile Settings, where a Google Calendar connection option is available.

What Gets Synced

As the settings page puts it, the following items will automatically appear in your Google Calendar based on the modules you enable:

  • Leaves — Approved leave dates
  • Tasks — Task deadlines
  • Events — Company events
  • Holidays — Public holidays
  • Invoices — Invoice due dates
  • Contracts — Contract end dates

Under Notification Settings, each item type has its own checkbox — Leads, Leaves, Invoices, Contracts, Tasks, Events, Holiday — so you can choose per type whether to receive notifications. Click Save to apply.

Limitations

LimitationWorkaround
Sync is one-way: PMSuite → Google Calendar only. Nothing created or edited in Google Calendar flows into PMSuite.Manually add Google Calendar-originated events in PMSuite if you need them there.

If two-way sync is important to your workflow, submit it as a feature request via the roadmap page.

Troubleshooting

I created an event in Google Calendar but it never appeared in PMSuite. This is expected behavior, not an error. The sync only goes one direction — PMSuite into Google Calendar. Add the event in PMSuite manually if you need it there.

The sync isn't pushing anything to my Google Calendar. Check that the sync is enabled in Settings → Google Calendar Settings and that a Google account has been connected via the Verify OAuth flow.

A teammate can't see the Google Calendar setting. The Google Calendar setting permission must be assigned to their role. After a permission change, have them log out and log back in — permission changes don't always take effect on an already-active session.
