Data Export

PMSuite's GDPR Settings include a Right to data portability tab, where you write the statement your company publishes about how individuals can obtain a copy of the personal data you hold about them. This article covers where that tab lives and what it controls.

Who can use it

Company Admins with access to Settings → GDPR Settings.

How to Access

  1. Go to Settings (/account/settings).
  2. Open GDPR Settings (/account/gdpr-settings).
  3. Select the Right to data portability tab.

What GDPR Settings contains

GDPR Settings has a master Enable/Disable GDPR compliance mode control plus these tabs:

TabPurpose
GeneralOverall GDPR statement and settings.
Right to data portabilityYour data portability statement.
Right to be informedYour "right to be informed" statement.
Right to ErasureYour erasure statement.
Right of Access/RectificationYour access and rectification statement.
Removal Request (Customer/Lead)Removal requests raised by customers and leads.
Consent SettingsConfiguration for consent capture.
Consent ListsRecorded consent entries.

A Show GDPR link in customer navigation/footer toggle publishes these statements to customers.

Publishing your portability statement

  1. Enable GDPR compliance mode.
  2. Open the Right to data portability tab and enter your statement.
  3. Save.
  4. Turn on Show GDPR link in customer navigation/footer so customers can reach it.

Limitations

  • The tab holds a statement, not an automated export button. GDPR Settings is where you declare your policy; fulfil the actual data hand-over using PMSuite's existing exports and reports for the modules the person's data sits in, or contact support if you need help locating records.
  • Statements are only visible to customers when the GDPR link is switched on. If the toggle is off, publish the same text through your own website or send it directly to the requester.

Troubleshooting

  • The GDPR tabs are greyed out or missing content. Confirm GDPR compliance mode is enabled at the top of /account/gdpr-settings.
  • Customers can't find the statement. Check the Show GDPR link in customer navigation/footer toggle is on.
  • You can't open GDPR Settings. The page is admin-level; ask a Company Admin, or have your role updated in Managing Roles.
