App Settings
App Settings hold PMSuite's application-wide defaults: date format, time format, default timezone, default currency, and language, plus the Datatable Row Limit that controls list pagination. This page also carries the "Employee can export data" toggle and the nested Client Sign Up settings that let clients self-register into your workspace. Most organizations configure this page once during initial setup and rarely revisit it.
Who can use it
Company Admins, plus any role granted access to Settings through Roles & Permissions.
How to Access
- Open Settings from the sidebar (
/account/settings— the hub opens on Company Settings). - In the Organization section of the settings sidebar, click App Settings (
/account/settings/app-settings).

App Settings fields
| Field | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Date Format | How dates are displayed throughout PMSuite. |
| Time Format | How times are displayed throughout PMSuite. |
| Default Timezone | The timezone used for timestamps across the system. |
| Default Currency | The base currency for financial records. Additional currencies and exchange rates are managed separately in Currency Settings. |
| Language | The default interface language. Individual users can still choose their own language in Profile Settings. |
| Datatable Row Limit | Pagination size — how many rows each list view shows per page. |
| Employee can export data | When on, employees can export data from list views. When off, exporting is restricted. |
Click Save after changing any field.
Client Sign Up settings
Client self-registration is configured in the Client Sign Up Settings block nested on this same page:
- Allow Client Signup — enables clients to register themselves.
- Need admin approval — when on, a self-registered client must be approved by an admin before they can access the workspace.
- Client Signup URL — the registration link you share with clients.
Limitations
- No platform-wide default country or phone code. PMSuite has no global setting for this. The phone country code auto-fills per profile based on the Country field selected on each individual Client or Employee record. Workaround: set the Country field correctly when you create each record, and correct it on the record itself if the code is wrong.
- Default Currency here is only the base currency. To add currencies or manage exchange rates, use Currency Settings.
- Language here is only a default. Each user also has their own Language field in Profile Settings. Workaround: if a user sees a different language than the default, ask them to update Language on their own profile.
Troubleshooting
Timestamps look wrong (for example, attendance times appear shifted). Check Default Timezone on this page and set it to the timezone your organization actually operates in, then save.
The wrong phone country code appears on a client or employee. This is driven by the Country selected on that specific record, not by any global setting. Open the record and correct its Country field.
Lists show too few (or too many) rows per page. Adjust Datatable Row Limit and save.
An employee cannot export data from a list view. Confirm the Employee can export data toggle is on. If it is on and the export still isn't available, check that employee's role in Roles & Permissions, and have them log out and back in — permission changes don't always apply to an already-active session.
Clients cannot self-register. Confirm Allow Client Signup is enabled and that you shared the correct Client Signup URL. If a client completed registration but still cannot get in, check whether Need admin approval is on and approve them.
A user isn't receiving email notifications. Email notification behaviour is not controlled from this page. Check Notification Settings for the relevant event type. For clients, also confirm Receive Email Notifications is turned on for that client record — a client with it off will not even receive password-reset emails.
