Weekly Timesheet Report
The Weekly Timesheet gives you a week-by-week grid of logged hours — Monday through Sunday across the columns, with hours entered per task per day. It is the view used to submit a week of work for approval and, for admins, to review and sign off on it. Where the Time Log Report lists time entries individually, the Weekly Timesheet organises the same underlying time data into a single week's grid.
Who can use it
- Employees fill in and submit their own weekly timesheet for approval.
- Admins review submitted timesheets and approve or reject them.
Access to the Time Logs area overall depends on your role and on whether the Time Logs module is enabled in Settings → Module Settings.
Prerequisites
- The Time Logs module must be enabled for your company (Settings → Module Settings).
- Time must exist for the week — logged with the Timer or entered manually. Manual entry requires Allow manual time logs to be enabled on the project (see Manual Time Entry).
- Projects and Tasks should exist so hours can be attributed to the right work.
- If sign-off is required in your company, turn on Timelog requires approval in Settings → Time Log Settings.
How to Access
Go to /account/time-log-weekly-report.

The weekly grid
The timesheet is laid out as a grid:
- Rows — the tasks worked on during the week.
- Columns — the days of the week, Monday through Sunday.
- Cells — the hours recorded against that task on that day.
Move between weeks to review or complete an earlier period.
Submission and approval flow
- Fill in hours. Enter hours per task for each day of the Mon–Sun week.
- Save. Saving keeps your entries without sending them to an admin — you can come back and finish the week later.
- Submit For Approval. When the week is complete, use Submit For Approval to send the timesheet forward.
- Admin review. An admin reviews the submitted timesheet and either approves or rejects it.
Individual time log entries carry Project, Task, Employee, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time and a Memo; total hours are auto-calculated from the start/end datetime pair. The Memo field is optional.
Effect on other features
- Time Log Report — draws on the same time-log data, shown entry by entry rather than as a weekly grid.
- Payroll — when you run payroll you can enable Add Timelogs to Salary, which brings logged time into the salary calculation for the period.
- Invoices — Create TimeLog Invoice auto-populates invoice line items from the hours logged against a project.
- Project, task and employee views — a project's Timesheet tab, a task's Timesheet tab and an employee record's Timesheet tab all surface the same logged time from their own angle.
- Notifications — Settings → Time Log Settings can send time tracker reminders and a Daily Timelog Report, with role selection controlling who receives it.
Limitations
- This is a weekly view only. There is no month or quarter grid here. Workaround: use the Time Log Report at
/account/time-log-reportfor a wider range, or step through weeks one at a time. - Manual hours depend on a project setting. If Allow manual time logs is off for a project, hours for it cannot be typed in directly. Workaround: ask an admin to enable that toggle on the project, or record the time with the Timer.
- Saving is not submitting. A saved timesheet stays with you and never reaches an approver on its own. Workaround: always finish with Submit For Approval.
- Approval is a company-level setting, not per project. Timelog requires approval in Settings → Time Log Settings applies to the whole company — you cannot require sign-off on one project and skip it on another. Workaround: leave the setting on and have admins approve everything as it arrives, or leave it off and use the Time Log Report to review the projects that need oversight.
Troubleshooting
Hours I logged aren't showing in the week. Check that you are on the correct week and that the entry's Start Date falls inside the Monday–Sunday range you are viewing. Time log entries record a Start Date/Start Time and an End Date/End Time, so an entry set up with the wrong Start Date will sit in a different week than you expect — open the Time Log Report to find it, then correct the entry.
I can't type hours against a project. That project most likely has Allow manual time logs disabled. Use the timer instead, or ask an admin to enable manual logs on the project.
My timesheet is still waiting on approval. Confirm you used Submit For Approval and not just Save — saved-only timesheets are never sent for review.
Nobody is being asked to approve anything. Check Settings → Time Log Settings: if Timelog requires approval is off, there is no approval step. Turn it on if your company needs sign-off.
I can't find Weekly Timesheet in the menu. The Time Logs module may be disabled in Settings → Module Settings, or your role may not include time-log access. Ask an admin to check both.
