Recruitment Settings

Recruit Settings is the configuration page for the Recruitment module. It controls whether your public career site is switched on, how that site is branded, and the supporting lists the module draws on — recruiters, application statuses, custom application questions, and application sources.

It is also the home of the Google reCAPTCHA toggle used by public-facing forms, which is a frequent point of confusion (see Limitations).

Who can use it

Company Admins. Recruit Settings sits under Settings, alongside the other module settings pages (Payroll Settings, Performance Settings, Purchase Settings, and so on), so access follows your Settings permissions rather than day-to-day recruiter access.

Prerequisites

  • The Recruit module must be enabled in Settings → Module Settings. If Recruit is switched off, the module and its settings page are not available.
  • To brand the career site you will need your company logo file and your company website URL.
  • To use Google reCAPTCHA you need a reCAPTCHA site key/secret from the Google reCAPTCHA admin console, and your form's domain whitelisted there.

How to Access

Go directly to /account/recruit-settings, or open Settings → Recruit Settings.

The page opens on the General area and offers these tabs:

  • Footer Settings
  • Recruiter Settings
  • Notification
  • Job Application Status
  • Custom Question
  • Source

Recruit Settings

General settings

SettingWhat it does
Enable Career SiteTurns the public Career Page on or off.
Google reCAPTCHAEnables Google reCAPTCHA protection. This is the correct location for the toggle — not Sign Up Settings.
Job AlertEnables the job alert option.
Company NameCompany name shown on the career site.
Company WebsiteWebsite link shown on the career site.
Company LogoLogo displayed on the career site.
About CompanyRich-text introduction to your company, shown to candidates.
Legal Term TextLegal terms text presented with the application.

Working through the tabs

  1. General — switch on Enable Career Site, then fill in Company Name, Website, Logo, About Company and Legal Term Text so the public page is branded before you publish a job. Save.
  2. Footer Settings — configure what appears in the career site footer.
  3. Recruiter Settings — maintain the recruiters who can be assigned to a job. The Recruiter field on a job posting draws from here (see Creating Jobs).
  4. Notification — configure the recruitment notifications sent from the module.
  5. Job Application Status — maintain the statuses applications are tracked against.
  6. Custom Question — add the extra questions candidates answer when applying. Question text is entered in a textarea, so longer, multi-line questions are supported and long labels wrap correctly on the form.
  7. Source — maintain the list of application sources, so you can record where each applicant came from.

Save each tab after editing it.

Effect on other features

  • Career Page: Enable Career Site, and the branding fields (name, website, logo, About Company, Legal Term Text), determine whether the Career Page is public and how it looks.
  • Jobs: The recruiters defined under Recruiter Settings populate the Recruiter field when creating a job.
  • Applications: Custom Questions appear on the candidate application form, and the answers travel with the record into Job Applications. The Source list is used to attribute where an applicant came from.
  • Public lead form: The Google reCAPTCHA toggle here is the one that governs CAPTCHA on the public lead form as well — the setting is shared, not duplicated under Sign Up Settings.

Limitations

  • The reCAPTCHA toggle alone is not enough. If the domain hosting your form is not whitelisted in the Google reCAPTCHA admin console (google.com/recaptcha/admin), validation fails silently — the form simply will not go through, with no obvious error. Workaround: whitelist the exact domain (including any subdomain) in the reCAPTCHA admin console, then re-test the form from that domain.
  • Logo uploads are capped by pixel dimensions, not file size. A logo larger than 750 × 750 px is rejected with a "file too large" style error even when the file is only a few KB. Workaround: resize the image to 750 × 750 px or smaller before uploading; the file weight does not need to change.
  • Recruit Settings does not exist if the module is off. Turning off Recruit in Module Settings removes the page. Workaround: re-enable Recruit in Settings → Module Settings; your saved recruit settings are still there when you return.

Troubleshooting

The career page shows nothing / is not reachable. Check Enable Career Site is on in the General settings, and that you have at least one job with status Open (see Creating Jobs).

CAPTCHA never validates on my public form. You have almost certainly set the toggle but not whitelisted the domain in the Google reCAPTCHA admin console. Also confirm you enabled it here in Recruit Settings → General, not in Sign Up Settings — the Sign Up Settings page is a different setting and will not affect this form.

My logo will not upload. Check the image's pixel dimensions, not its file size. Anything over 750 × 750 px is rejected.

A recruiter cannot be selected on a job. Add them under the Recruiter Settings tab first, then reopen the job form.

A custom question's answer is missing on an application. Questions added after an application was submitted are not applied retroactively. Add the question, then check a newly submitted application to confirm it appears.
