Deal Reports

The Deal/Lead Report gives you an aggregate view of deal performance instead of making you open deals one at a time. It has two tabs: Profile, which summarises deal activity per deal agent, and Deal Report, which charts and tabulates deal values month by month for a chosen pipeline and year.

One rule governs the whole page: figures are filtered on the deal's Close Date. The Deal Report tab shows this notice on screen ("The data displayed is filtered based on the deal close date."). Deals with no close date never appear in the Deal Report tab, and they drop out of the Profile tab whenever a Duration range is applied — which it is by default.

Who can use it

  • Users whose role grants the View Lead Report permission at the All level. Without it, the page returns a 403.
  • The Profile tab additionally requires deal-agent records to exist — agents are the rows of that table.
  • The Excel export buttons appear only for users whose role allows data-table export.

Prerequisites

  • At least one pipeline with stages configured. See Deal Stages & Pipeline Setup.
  • Deals that have a Close Date and a Deal Value filled in. See Creating Deals.
  • For the Profile tab, deals must have a Deal Agent assigned.

How to Access

Go to /account/lead-report (Sidebar → Sales → Deal/Lead Report).

The page opens on the Profile tab. Use the tab strip at the top to switch between Profile and Deal Report.

Profile tab

A per-agent summary table. Each row is one deal agent, with these columns:

ColumnMeaning
Deal AgentThe agent the deals are assigned to.
Total DealsCount of that agent's deals in range.
Won DealsCount of the agent's deals sitting in a stage whose slug is win.
Lost DealsCount of the agent's deals sitting in a stage whose slug is lost.
Total AmountSum of deal values across all of the agent's deals in range.
Converted AmountSum of deal values for the agent's won deals only.
Total Follow UpCount of follow-ups recorded against those deals.
Total Pending Follow UpCount of those follow-ups whose status is still pending.

Filters on this tab:

  • Duration — a date range picker. It filters on deal close date. When you first open the page the range defaults to the start of the current month through today.
  • Lead Agent — restrict the table to one agent, or leave it on All.
  • Clear Filters — resets both.

If your role allows export, an Export Excel button appears in the table's action area and downloads the table as shown.

Deal Report tab

This tab answers "how much deal value closed in each month of a given year, broken down by stage?"

Filters:

  • Pipeline — defaults to the pipeline marked as default (out of the box, "Sales Pipeline").
  • Category — a deal category, or All.
  • Year — selectable between the current year and the previous year only.
  • Clear Filters.

Chart: a combined chart where each pipeline stage is a bar series across the twelve months of the selected year — using each stage's own configured label colour — plus a black Average line showing the average deal value per month.

Monthly table below the chart, one row per calendar month:

ColumnMeaning
MonthJanuary through December of the selected year.
Deals To Be ClosedNumber of deals with a close date in that month.
Total Deal AmountSum of those deals' values.
Average Deal ValueThat month's total divided by its deal count.
Won Deals / Deals Won ValueCount and value of deals in a win stage.
Lost Deals / Deals Lost ValueCount and value of deals in a lost stage.
Other Deal Stages / Other Deal Stages ValueCount and value of deals in any stage that is neither win nor lost.

Months with no matching deals show zeros rather than being omitted.

Exporting

If your role allows data-table export, an Export Excel button sits between the chart and the table. It downloads an .xlsx file named after your current selection, in the form deal-report-<pipeline>-<category>-<year>.xlsx (with all-categories when no category is chosen). The export contains the same monthly rows as the on-screen table.

Effect on other features

  • Figures are read-only aggregates of the deals you manage on Deals and the Pipeline Board. Nothing you do on this page changes a deal.
  • Won/Lost columns depend entirely on stages whose slugs are win and lost. If you rename or restructure stages in Deal Stages & Pipeline Setup, the classification follows those stages.
  • Follow-up columns on the Profile tab come from records created in Deal Follow-ups.
  • Bar colours in the chart are the stage label colours you set when configuring the pipeline.

Limitations

  • Deals without a close date are effectively invisible here. Workaround: set a projected close date on open deals when you create or edit them — a forecast date is enough — or use the Deals list, which shows every deal regardless of close date.
  • The Deal Report year selector only offers the current and previous year. Workaround: export each year's Excel file while that year is still selectable and archive it; compare archived exports for longer histories.
  • The Deal Report tab covers one pipeline at a time. Workaround: run the report once per pipeline and combine the exports in a spreadsheet.
  • Export requires the data-table export permission. Workaround: ask a company admin to enable export for your role, or have someone with the permission run the export for you.
  • This page is reporting only — there is no scheduled email delivery of the report. Workaround: export on a fixed cadence (for example at each month end) and circulate the file.

Troubleshooting

  • "403 / not authorised" when opening the page. Your role lacks the View Lead Report permission at the All level. Ask a company admin to grant it.
  • Everything reads zero. Almost always the close-date rule. Check that your deals have close dates inside the selected range or year, and that you are looking at the right pipeline.
  • A won deal is missing from Won Deals. The deal must currently sit in the pipeline's win stage and have a close date. A deal parked in a custom stage counts under "Other Deal Stages".
  • An agent is missing from the Profile tab. Rows come from deal-agent records. Confirm the person is set up as a deal agent and has deals assigned to them.
  • Amounts look mixed up. Deal value currency is configurable per deal, so a pipeline containing deals in different currencies will sum raw values. Standardise currency per pipeline, or filter by category to keep like with like.
  • No Export button. Your role does not have data-table export enabled.
