Recurring Events
Some events happen on a predictable schedule — weekly standups, monthly reviews, or annual company gatherings. PMSuite's Add Recurring Event option lets you create such series from a single form instead of entering each occurrence manually.
Who Can Use It
Any user who has permission to create events. Contact your workspace admin if the Events section is not visible in your sidebar; module visibility is controlled per user type in Settings → Module Settings.
Prerequisites
- Events module enabled for your user type (Settings → Module Settings → Events).
- At least one workspace user account with event-create permission.
How to Access
Sidebar → Workspace → Events (/account/events)
On the Events page you will see two creation buttons at the top:
| Button | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Add Event | Creates a single, non-repeating occurrence. |
| Add Recurring Event | Opens the recurring event form to set up a repeating series. |
Setting Up a Recurring Event
Click Add Recurring Event. Fill in the event details on the form that opens, then configure the recurrence settings before saving.
The specific recurrence fields (frequency, interval, end condition) are configured directly inside the Add Recurring Event form. If you need a walkthrough of individual field options, refer to the in-app tooltips or contact support at info@pmsuite.co.
Save the form to create the series. All occurrences in the series are generated according to the recurrence settings you specified.
Viewing Recurring Events
After creation, recurring events appear in the Events calendar alongside one-time events. Use the view controls at the top of the Events page to switch between layouts:
| View | Best for |
|---|---|
| Month | Seeing the full month at a glance and spotting gaps in coverage. |
| Week | Reviewing the upcoming week in detail. |
| Day | Checking a single day's schedule. |
| List | Scrolling through events in chronological order without a grid. |
Use the Employee, Client, and Status filters to narrow which events appear in any of these views.
Effect on Other Features
Google Calendar — If your workspace has Google Calendar sync enabled, events pushed from PMSuite will appear in the connected Google Calendar. The sync direction is one-way: PMSuite → Google Calendar. Events created or edited inside Google Calendar do not flow back into PMSuite. See Google Calendar Integration for setup steps.
Notifications — Notification Settings (Settings → Notification Settings → Email / Slack tabs) include an Events toggle. When enabled, attendees and relevant team members receive notifications for events in the series.
Limitations
| Limitation | Workaround |
|---|---|
| Items created or edited in Google Calendar do not sync back to PMSuite. | Add or update the corresponding PMSuite event manually after making changes in Google Calendar. |
| The Events module can be toggled off per user type. If attendees cannot see an event, check Settings → Module Settings. | Enable the Events module for the affected user type. |
Troubleshooting
I cannot see the "Add Recurring Event" button. Check that the Events module is enabled for your user type in Settings → Module Settings. If the button is still missing after the module is enabled, log out and log back in so the permission change takes effect.
A recurring event is not appearing for an employee. Use the Employee filter on the Events page to confirm the event was created with the correct attendee. If the employee's user type has the Events module disabled, enable it in Module Settings.
An event in the series shows the wrong time. The Event Calendar renders in the workspace's default timezone, set in Settings → App Settings → Default Timezone. Confirm all attendees are aware of the timezone before distributing the series.
